• 'Wanted' - Mereside School Jade Jumpers!
  Recycle your jade coloured school jumpers or cardigans by handing them into the school office. The PTA would like to do a project using them.
• PTA Summer Fair
  Thank you to everyone who attended & supported the Summer Fair on Saturday 2nd July, 2016; a fantastic £1636.00 has been raised for school funds!
• 'The Big Bandage' Fundraising Day Total
  On Friday 8th July, 2016 we held a fundraising day for Birmingham Children's Hospital. The children came to school wearing bandages and a fantastic £179.41 has been raised!
• EYFS SPORTS DAY -CANCELLED
  Unfortunately due to heavy rain and the ground being very wet the EYFS Sports Day which was due to take place today; Wednesday 13th July, 2016 has been cancelled.
• KS1 & KS2 SPORTS DAY CANCELLED
  Unfortunately due to heavy rain the KS1 & KS2 Sports Day which was due to take place today; Tuesday 12th July, 2016 has been cancelled.
• Mereside Summer Concert
  Tickets are not being issued for the concert which takes place on Tuesday 12th July, 2016 at 6.00pm. Everyone is welcome to come along to watch and enjoy the talent of Mereside School!
• Important Notice
  Further to comments on social media, we feel it's necessary to put your minds at rest regarding rats being seen on school premises. The school contacted the council 2 wks ago & have had 3 visits from Pest Control to monitor & attempt to eradicate them.

• EYFS Sports Day - Wednesday 13th July, 2016
  Children in EYFS (Reception) can come to school in their PE Kit ready for their sports events during the morning. Please can they bring their uniform in a bag to change in to before lunch.
• KS2 Sports Day - Tuesday 12th July, 2016
  Children in KS2 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6) are to come to school in their uniform. They will change in to their PE Kit after lunch, ready for their sports events during the afternoon. Please ensure your child has their full PE Kit in school on this day.
