Mereside Academy

Mereside footballers took part in the Under 9 Boys County Shield tournament and won a well-deserved place in the County Final. The match is to be played at the Greenhous Meadow on Monday 29th April at 2.45 p.m. against Oakmeadow School. (A letter will be out on Monday inviting parents and children to attend the match). An enthusiastic group of parents and supporters watched our boys win a closely fought contest at Shrewsbury Sports Village on Wednesday evening. This was a superb achievement and the skill, dedication and effort put in by all the team is an example to us all. The boys played teams from all over Shropshire to win a place in the final, a brilliant result which makes us all very proud. Modestly, the boys would like to thank Mr Tudor, Mr Blower and all their supporters who came to watch their matches, for inspiring them all the way to the final. Good Luck and Well done to you all!
