Mereside under 9's football team played in round 2 of the U9 Boys County Shield at Sundorne Sports Village on Wednesday 20th November.
The team was Jamie Puttock, Alex & Ethan Hordern, Louis Tudor, Tom Griffiths, Joe Roberts, Kieran Jackman, Charlie Clews and Will Rigby. They played four, hard fought matches against strong teams from St.Giles, Oakmeadow, St.Patricks and St.Georges. Sadly, this time we did not get through to the next round, however, our boys played well and displayed great sportsmanship. Well done boys!!
Men of the match were Alex Hordern and Joe Roberts.
