Nine of our Year 5 and 6 pupils attended an Able Writer's Day on 26th November at The Grange Primary School.
This was an enjoyable and rewarding experience working with Brian Moses- one of the UK's leading poets.
The pupils were encouraged to write in rhyme and then progressed to use the repetition of words to create a rhythm in their own poems.
There was a lot of praise for the work of our pupils, but special mention must be given to Amelia Wigley, whose poem "Mathilda" is to be added to the Brian Moses' website for Authors Abroad. You can read Amelia's poem by logging on to www.brianmoses.co.uk, click on 'Your Poems'.
Well done also to the rest of the children who took part: Sam Marine, Ella Mead, Elana Jenks, Morgan Williams, Meg Marston, Kate Mitchell, Remi Surridge and Sarah Lightwood.
