News Stories- Wrens Class Forest School
There will not be any Forest School for the children in Wrens class on Friday 25th November, 2016 as Mrs Mitchell will not be in school due to illness. - Robins Class Forest School
Mrs Mitchell will not be in school on Thursday 24th November due to illness; unfortunately Robins class will not have Forest School this week. - Children in Need 'Dotty Dash!'
Friday 18th November, 2016 is Children in Need day; children can come to school dressed in spots/dots. Each class will complete a challenge of how many shuttle runs they can complete in 1 minute. Please send in a donation for Children in Need. - Operation Christmas Child
Leaflets from the Samaritan's Purse giving details of the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal have been sent home. Please fill a box or donate goodies for boxes to be filled in school. The boxes will be collected from school at the end of November. - Poppy Appeal 2016
We have a variety of poppy appeal merchandise in school to purchase; prices range from 20p to £1.00. Children will have the opportunity to purchase items during morning break & lunchtime. - Lingotot After School French Club

We have had some fantastic news regarding our School Games Kitemark Award. Due to the hard work & dedication of our pupils & staff we were awarded the highest level of GOLD, showing our commitment to & organisation of PE & competition within our school. - The Pearl of Africa Children's Choir Concert
On Thursday 20th October, 2016 the choir will be performing an evening concert at 6.00pm. Tickets cost £4.00 Adults & £1.00 children. Please send your money in a sealed envelope to the school office; tickets will then be sent home with your child. - European Day of Languages
Mereside School is celebrating the 'European Day of Languages 2016' on Monday 26th September.
It will start a week of singing, speaking and listening to different languages.
