  • 'Wear it Woolly' for Age Uk - Friday 16th December, 2016
    If you are happy to donate a voluntary contribution for Age Uk, your child can come to school dressed in a fun or festive jumper with casual clothes. If you do not wish to donate please ensure your child wears full school uniform.
  • PTA Christmas Fair
    'Thank you' to everyone who supported & attended the Chritmas Fair on Friday 2nd December, 2016. The event was a great success & raised a fantastic £1743.04 for school funds.
  • Pearl of Africa Children's Choir Tour 2016
    As part of their tour the Pearl of Africa Children's Choir visited Mereside School on Thursday 20th October, 2016. They performed to the children throughout the day & a concert to our families in the evening. We raised an amazing £606.01!
  • School Christmas Dinner - Reminder
    If you have not returned the slip to order a Christmas Dinner for Thursday 8th December, 2016 please ensure your child brings a packed lunch from home on this day. Please note there will not be a deli option or jacket potato available on this day.
  • Change to the Lunchtime Menu
    There is a change to the menu for Wednesday 7th December. The menu is: selection of fish, noodles, baby potatoes, carrots, baked beans, followed by vanilla iced sponge & custard. The deli is basil & tomato pasta or jacket potato.
  • KS2 School Choir & Hedgehogs Class Performances
    On Wednesday 7th December the children will be at Percy Throwers Garden Centre from 1.30pm performing Christmas songs. There will be another opportunity to hear them sing at St. Chad's Christmas Tree Festival on Thursday 15th December at 11.30.

  • PTA School Discos
    The school discos on Friday 4th November, 2016 were very well attended & enjoyed by everyone. 'Thank you' to all PTA members, school staff & parent helpers who helped on the night. A fantastic £628.35 has been raised for school funds.
  • Wrens Class Forest School
    There will not be any Forest School for the children in Wrens class on Friday 25th November, 2016 as Mrs Mitchell will not be in school due to illness.
  • Robins Class Forest School
    Mrs Mitchell will not be in school on Thursday 24th November due to illness; unfortunately Robins class will not have Forest School this week.
